“Join us for our third event of the year. The trucks scheduled to attend are The Sweet Divine Desserts, Doughboys Wood Fired Pizza, Mann Meats, Angie Burger, Zia’s Food Truck, 2 Girls 4 Wheels, Hacienda Food Truck, Tuk Tuk Thai and Cajun Seduction. Our event will feature Lost Dog with Mitch Freihoff as our live music for the evening. There is plenty of on-site parking off of Washington Street. As always, there will be a canned food drive for the TEAM Food Pantry.” From 5 to 8pm.

Ferragosto: The St. Louis Italian Summer Festival
“You are invited to the fifth annual Ferragosto at the Enterprise Pavilion at Shaw Park in Clayton! Ferragosto is the largest Italian summer festival of the year where all are invited to taste and experience contemporary Italian cuisine and culture. We will serve plenty of food, from antipasto to Volpi salsiccia and traditional Italian luganighe. Italian wines, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages will also be served as well as authentic Italian gelato from Gelato di Riso on The Hill. We received a very large donation of Peroni beer for all to enjoy. Thank you Birra Peroni! We ask that everyone bring a dish and/or beverage of their choice to share. The nearby sand volleyball courts and playgrounds are available for our use. The event is free and open to the public.” From 4:30 to 11pm.

Whiskey Tasting in Murphysboro, Illinois
“Come join a relaxed whiskey tasting at the Murphysboro Knights of Columbus Hall. Doors open at 6pm. Whiskey tasting will start at 7pm and will include a presentation on each individual whiskey and on the process of making whiskey. Each participant will get a souvenir rocks glass. This tasting will feature whiskeys from Old Elk Distillery. Whether you’re a whiskey pro or a whiskey novice, there will be something for you to learn and enjoy! There will be snacks provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own food, as well. Proceeds raised will benefit Families for the Advancement of Catholic Education and the Murphysboro Knights of Columbus.
