In a city full of patios, a few stand out by virtue of their altitude. Head to one of these rooftop spots to grab a cocktail, catch some sun and hang out with friends.
The Bellwether
Just east of Lafayette Park is The Bellwether, which is open for dinner service starting at 5 p.m. and weekend brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During warm months, make your way to the rooftop patio with a cocktail inspired by famous novels like A Farewell to Arms – with rye and brandy – or The Rum Diary – with rum, cinnamon syrup and lavender bitters.

Sasha’s Wine Bar on DeMun
The other half to Sasha’s on Shaw, the Demun location near Forest Park is representative of everything that Sasha’s is known and loved for, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a more extensive wine list anywhere.
The spot is in the process of renovating its epic rooftop bar, which should be ready in early summer. “The new installations feature stunning metal ‘trees’ in the design, which also double as rain protection for guests as needed,” Sasha’s Wine Bar management says.

Three Sixty at Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark
The fact that Three Sixty is on this list comes as no surprise: Its view of Busch Stadium is unmatched. Equal parts lavish and fun, the rooftop – at 400 feet in the air – is the highest in town. The menu features dishes like burrata with roasted tomatoes and thyme oil and cauliflower tacos with harissa.

UPBAR STL at Element St. Louis Midtown
Element Midtown is a great St. Louis hotel, but booking a stay there isn’t necessary to visit UPBAR on the seventh floor. Up top, the views are stunning, with Midtown, Downtown and the Arch all visible. Seats near glowing fire pits are available for when temps drop; pair the fries and queso fresco with Butterfly Tears, a tea-infused tequila cocktail with lemon and passion fruit.
